July 4th shirts
We had a great time making the boys July 4th shirts. I want to try making more shirts. My oldest really loved it. My two year old did not want me to paint his hands so we did his feet and I really like how the feet turned out.
Fun on a rain day.
The boys loved this pool float made into a marble race game. I got the idea from family fun. You cut a pool float in half(I got mine at the dollar store) and then attach it with tooth picks. The boys played with it for over an hour. So much fun!!
We also make some jewelry with pipe cleaners and beads. This was a fun project and I was surprised how well my two year old did.

My son turned 4 and wanted a pirate party...We had a blast!
He wanted a pirate island cake. He was so excited to see this cake.

Craft Table
My boys love to color and do crafts. I was having a problem with the little table we had it was not big enough for both the boys to do their crafts. I saw Lowes had counter tops for sale and I got the idea that it would be cool to have a craft area in the playroom. I also did a rain gutter book shelf for all the coloring books. I got the cork board squares from Lowes and put the Lettter A and J above them. This will be a great way to show off the artwork without it being all over the place.I also made the crayon caddy with a lazy susan from Ikea($7) and $1 buckets from Target. I screwed on the backets to the lazy susana and it works great. I got the idea from pottery barn kids except they wanted $49 for something I made for less then $10. The boys love the new craft table and have been doing crafts together with their own space.

THOMAS THE TRAIN SIDE TABLE
AFTER
BEFORE
My little guy is going to be 4 on 6/25. I want to give him a big boy room for his birthday. The theme I am going to do is vintage trains, carsa ndplanes. Here is a few things I have done for the room. I got the lamp for one dollar and I did the lamp with mod podge(love that stuff!!) My boy loves Thomas the Train so I made a side table from an old Thomas book that little brother Jake tore apart. I cut out a bunch of the picture and mod podge them on the table. I also spray painted the table red. I love the way everything is coming together. I can't wait till it is all done.
